After purchasing 7 (yes seven) vehicles from claycomb auto sales, I think I can confidently say that this is the best dealership to deal with period. If you want someone to lie to you about what you can afford, this is not the place. Sewell will be blunt with you, if buying a car from him in your current financial situation is not a smart move, he will tell you. On the flip side Sewell will do just about anything in his power to get you the best deal on a vehicle (reasonably, he is running a business and has to turn a profit to stay open).
I bought a vehicle recently from claycomb. There has been nothing but problems since day 1. I regret buying from this place. When i asked about repairs they told me they wil "call me back" which never happend. I spent alot of money on my vehicle and i cant even drive it cause its not safe. Nor can i afford the parts on my own. This is just a heads up for anyone looking ti buy a vehicle. Have a certified mechanic check it over before signing amy papers. I wish i had! I even had sewell himself call and cussing at me. Not very processional.
If he does not have a vehicle in Stock at the time of your visit, go talk to him and he will do his best to find it.
The only honest car dealer I've ever come across. I have bought 3 cars here and see no reason to go anywhere else. Kudos!
I bought a 2011 Dodge Caravan here. They are the same as all other used car dealers. They are no better, no worse, you get what you get. Once they have your money your bargaining chips are gone. So I guess I will live with my 3/4's of a stow-n-go van. What they don't know is so far two people that have asked me about buying a car there listened to my story and purchased cars else where. And in the spring when I look for a car for me (the van was for my wife) I will be asking them about where they bought theirs, I won't be back here. That makes a total of 3 possible sales in one year. One of the cars that was bought (by my parents) was from Licari Motor Sales, so far they are happy, we will see.
As far as prices, they are competitive if not, better than area dealers. The difference between his cars and their cars, is that his cars come with a lifetime warranty that covers just about every moving part on the vehicle.
Those guys are great at Claycomb! Highly recommended.
